Apply for Free Tutoring (Grades 1 - 6)

NOTICE:

September 15, 2023 - at this time all tutoring time slots have been filled. However, if you are interested in this program please fill out an application and we will add you to our waiting list. Thank you. 

Tutoring Application:


Free tutoring at the library will begin September 5, 2023, and end May 10, 2024.

We accept applications for students in grades 1 - 6. Students will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applications can be completed online here: Online Tutoring Application

Tutoring Policies & Procedures:

  • Students under 4th grade may not attend a tutoring session without a parent/caregiver present in the building.   The Library assumes no responsibility for children left unattended.
  • The Library is not a classroom, it is a safe, quiet workspace for students to be tutored.
  • Students being tutored must have a library card; or obtain one to be enrolled in the program.
  • The tutor will stay in contact with the student’s classroom teacher to inform them of work being done and concepts being reviewed.
  • Students are subject to all of the Library’s Rules of Conduct.
  • If a student misses 2 or more sessions without contacting the tutor they will forfeit their space in the program.

Provision of Materials:

  1. Student brings materials from school.
  2. The parent/guardian discusses specific need(s) with the tutor.
  3. Tutor provides materials.

Program Session Availability:

Monday - Thursday  
3:30-4:00 PM; 4:00-4:30 PM; and 4:30-5:00 PM

*When a Holiday falls on a Monday there will not be tutoring.
