Friends of the Library

Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization of individuals interested in promoting and supporting the collections and services of the Huron Public Library. The Friends operate Smithy's Used Books bookstore in the library to raise money for library projects. The organization holds an annual meeting in September.

Smithy's Used Books - managed by Friends of the Library

The bookstore is open and accepts donations during library hours of operation. The items sold at the bookstore are from community donations and library discards. Sales of used books and magazines are at bargain prices.  Proceeds from the sales support the library's summer reading program.
